About the role
Grampians Health Stawell is seeking applications for a Radiology Nurse position for a Casual role. We welcome candidates with relevant nursing experience who thrive in a busy, team-based environment and are committed to delivering high-quality patient care within a radiology setting.
The Radiology Department provides a comprehensive range of medical imaging services, including X-ray, CT and Ultrasound. As a Radiology Nurse, you will be an integral part of the multidisciplinary team, ensuring the care and safety of patients across the lifespan.
Key Responsibilities

Clinical Nursing: Provide nursing support across all imaging modalities, including IV cannulation and administration of contrast for CT scans.

Interventional Assistance: Assist Radiologists with procedures such as biopsies, aspirations, and drainage by setting up sterile consumables and monitoring patients.

Patient Monitoring: Perform systematic nursing assessments and monitor for clinical deterioration or contrast reactions.

Coordination: Liaise with referring doctors, provide patient education, and maintain departmental stock and equipment.
Skills and Experience:

Current registration as a Registered Nurse Division 1 with AHPRA.

Demonstrated clinical knowledge and skills commensurate with experience.

Strong organisational and time management skills.

Effective teamwork and high-level communication skills.

Ability to use Information Communications Technology.

Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice.

This position is paid in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2024 - 2028. The classification is Registered Nurse Grade 2 (YP2 - YP9) which ranges from $42.60 - $54.40 per hour.
